Seyed Ahmad Emami (Pharm.D., Ph.D.),

Professor

Seyed Ahmad Emami received his Pharm.D. degree in 1997 from school of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and his Ph.D. in 2001 from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Iran. He is currently Professor at Department of Traditional Pharmacy, School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He is interested in translating and editing Islamic Traditional Medicine textbooks, translating medical texts from English, French and Arabic into Persian, drug discovery research based on Islamic Medicine heritage, developing projects and conducting clinical trials to study the efficacy and safety of herbal medications. He is also interested in formulation, evaluation and standardization of herbal medicins on Islamic medical textbooks, isolation and identification of new natural compounds, study on distribution of Iranian endemic plants, study on Islamic and Iranian culture and civilization, study on cytotoxic and antioxidant plants.

 

Behjat Javadi (Pharm.D., Ph.D.),

Assistant Professor

 

Behjat Javadi received her Pharm.D. degree in 2004 from school of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and her Ph.D. in 2013 from the Department of Traditional Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. She is currently Assistant Professor at Department of Traditional Pharmacy, School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. She is interested in Translating and editing Traditional Persian Medicine textbooks, drug discovery research based on Persian Medicine heritage, developing projects and conducting clinical trials to study the efficacy and safety of herbal medications recommended by Persian Medicine. She is also interested in formulation, evaluation and standardization of herbal dosage forms based on Persian Pharmaceutical textbooks and Pharmacopeia and novel drug delivery systems. 

 

Zahra Sobhani (Pharm.D., Ph.D.),

Assistant Professor

Zahra Sobhani received her Pharm.D. degree in 2002 from School of Pharmacy, Kerman University of Medical Sciences and her Ph.D. in 2018 from the Department of Traditional Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Iran. She is currently Assistant Professor at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. She is interested in the field of phytopharmacology, quality control experiments of herbal materials and formulations of natural products based on medical and pharmaceutical manuscripts in Islamic traditional medicine as well as new trends in cosmetics and the use of plants as active agents in this regard. In addition, she is interested in translating and correcting medical manuscripts and thus is diligent in preserving medical manuscripts and the knowledge of former scientists.
